JC IT Services is hiring a Web Designer and Developer to create, improve, launch, and maintain business websites for clients. This role is for someone who can combine sharp visual judgment with practical website operations.

Required Skills

Applicants must be proficient in WordPress and cPanel, including day-to-day site updates, hosting controls, domains, email setup, SSL, backups, and launch support. Applicants must also know Elementor or Divi for design work, Wordfence for basic site security, and WooCommerce product management for e-commerce websites. Applicants must also have their own machine/computer for remote website work.

You will help turn client goals into clean, responsive sites, then keep those sites healthy through practical hosting and WordPress administration.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain client websites

The Web Designer and Developer will support business websites from initial layout through launch, then help keep them updated, secure, and easy for clients to use.

Website design and page builds

Create clean, responsive pages that are easy to navigate and aligned with each client's brand and goals.

WordPress administration

Manage pages, themes, plugins, forms, menus, media, updates, basic troubleshooting, content changes, and page builder edits.

cPanel and hosting support

Handle common hosting tasks such as domains, DNS checks, email accounts, SSL, backups, redirects, and file access.

Launch and QA

Check mobile responsiveness, links, forms, performance basics, browser behavior, and launch readiness before handoff.

Requirements

What we need from applicants

Proficient in WordPress

You can confidently work inside WordPress, update content, manage plugins, adjust themes, and troubleshoot common site issues.

Elementor or Divi design experience

You can design and edit pages using Elementor or Divi, with good judgment for layout, spacing, responsive sections, and client-ready visuals.

Proficient in cPanel

You understand the common cPanel tools needed for website hosting, files, emails, domains, SSL, backups, and redirects.

Wordfence security basics

You can use Wordfence for basic WordPress security checks, firewall/plugin awareness, scan review, and practical issue escalation.

WooCommerce product management

You can manage WooCommerce products for e-commerce websites, including product details, images, categories, pricing, inventory, and basic store updates.

Own machine/computer

You have your own reliable machine/computer that can handle remote website design, development, updates, and troubleshooting work.

Comfortable with HTML and CSS basics

You can make practical frontend adjustments and understand how website structure and styling work.

Portfolio or examples preferred

Send links to websites, landing pages, mockups, or maintenance work that show your taste and execution.
